Port Townsend Hop Diggidy

For today, leap day - February 29, I have decided to "Hop."  Hop - Leap...get it???  Oh well.

Hop Diggidy Imperial IPA is brewed by Port Townsend Brewing in Port Townsend, Washington.  I first tried Hop Diggidy in the summer of 2009 in Seattle, Washington.  I have seen information about the spelling of this beer being either diggity or diggidy but I recorded it as Diggity when I tried it.  It also appears that Port Townsend Hop Diggidy Imperial IPA may be the same as Port Townsend Glasskisser Imperial IPA.

Castel Beer

Castel Beer is brewed in Kombolcha, Ethiopia by BGI Ethiopia.  I first tried Castel when I was in Northern Ethiopia in December 2006.

I have a pretty fond memory of drinking several Castel beers with my three friends I was traveling with in Axum.  On our last night in Axum, we had nearly been run out of town and were staying at a voluntary testing center after our hotel tried to force us to go elsewhere in an even worse unfinished hotel.  There was a long story behind this and our 3 days in Axum but I digress.  When we had the Castel on the last night we each had the person across the table from us take our picture (see below).
