Wailua Wheat

Wailua Wheat is brewed by Kona Brewing in Hawaii.  I first tasted Wailua Wheat at the Great American Beer Festival in 2006 but didn't really try a full serving until the following summer in 2007 while visiting friends in Laramie, Wyoming.  I am not sure if it is strange that I first tried Wailua Wheat in two land locked states in the center of North America and didn't have it while I was actually in Hawaii?

Kona Koko Brown

Kona Koko Brown is brewed by Kona Brewing in Hawaii.  I first tried Koko Brown shortly after returning to Seattle from my first trip to Hawaii.  I was surprised that I hadn't seen the Koko Brown while I was on Kauai in March.

Fire Rock Pale Ale

Fire Rock Pale Ale is brewed by Kona Brewing in Hawaii. I first tried Fire Rock in the summer of 2007 in Laramie, Wyoming and most recently had this beer two weeks ago. Here is a Beer Advocate review and a RateBeer review.

Kona Wailua Wheat

On a snowy, messy day in Seattle, why not think of a fun happy thing (beer) and place (Hawaii)? I just glanced through my beer list and the one that popped out at me was Wailua Wheat from Kona Brewing in Hawaii. Unfortunately this beer is only available from March to September so it won't help me on this snowy day but at least it provided a happy thought.

I first tasted this beer at the 2006 GABF in Denver but I didn't actually try a full serving of it until 2007 while visiting friends in Wyoming.
